Christmas Day!

Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Eve: Christmas Eve Service and Preparing for Santa

Christmas Day 23: Snow at Discovery Cube and Dinner with the Kings

The Discovery Cube opened up an area in the parking lot for sledding and snow play. We were accompanied by M's two favorite Emilys- Aunt Emily "Auntie Emmy" and her friend Emily. The kids were not at all interested in going sledding but spent a little time playing with snow. There were also very cool Gingerbread House displays inside the Cube and had fun Gingerbread related activities, though all M wanted to do was play in the dinosaur playground.

One tradition we have had before kids was to have Christmas dinner with the Kings. It's even more fun now that we have kids and the kids are actually playing with each other. Can't wait till Nathan grows up and can play with Luke.

Christmas Day 22: More Christmas Coloring & Picnic next to the Christmas Tree

It was a cozy rainy day. When you can't go outside, you get creative :) Can't go wrong with cookies fresh out of the oven on a cold rainy day!

Christmas Day 21: Eggnog :P

I honestly did not think they would enjoy it but they did! It probably helped that Eric prefaced their taste test by telling them it tasted like melted ice cream.

Christmas Day 20: Christmas Ice Cream

"What is Christmas ice cream?" you might be asking. No, it is not some seasonal Christmas flavored ice cream, though eggnog ice cream or peppermint chocolate ice cream sounds delish and would have been a great festive way to celebrate the season. Christmas ice cream is when you visit an ice cream shop that is decorated for Christmas! Ok so maybe another cop out! We felt super celebratory and sang Christmas songs on the way home so to me it counts :)

Just a side note, we have been wanting to try Sprinkles ice cream shop for awhile now and since we had paid a visit to the Newport Beach Library, we decided to drop by afterwards to enjoy the sweet treat!
