Happy Fourth of July!

Since Eric had to study for his exam, M and I got to spend some quality time together. We went to Heritage Park close to our house. I found it on yelp. It's a no-frills kind of a park and a bit older than many of the other parks in the city, but it is a real gem. There's a manmade lake with ducks, a fun playground, a library, and a community center. People were setting up tents already before noon, probably in preparation for the fireworks show from the high school nearby. We also saw a mommy duck + a few baby ducks following behind. M loved it! I asked her how many ducks there were and she said "One, two, three! Three baby ducks!"
